Nonprofit organizations and charities are the lifeblood of our communities. With a small number of staff members and a handful of volunteers, these groups do so much for the entire population of a region.
A big focus of most nonprofits is fundraising, and in turn, taking the proceeds raised and using it for programming, support initiatives, and more!
Most nonprofit organizations tend to work with modest budgets, highly dependent on supporters, memberships, and government funding, unlike large corporations. Therefore, many of these groups are well-versed in stretching every dollar.
Fundraising can take many shapes, like raffles, draws, and lotteries, but events tend to bring in quite a bit of money. However, sometimes the cost of quality facilities outweighs the ability to host events that can spread a great awareness for their cause.
Here at TCU place, the community is at the heart of everything we do. If we can help a local organization thrive, we’ll do everything possible to help. That’s where our BOOST program comes in.
Let’s talk about making this your place to connect, make a difference, and give back.
TCU Place Hosts Events of All Shapes, Types, and Sizes
Over the decades, we’ve hosted a wide range of events here, from concerts on our stages to weddings in our ballrooms and conferences in our halls. We have professional staff that can help plan events, prepare food, decorate spaces, utilize state-of-the-art sound and video technology, and so much more.
TCU Place will assist eligible community organizations by providing them with the option to host their event in one of Saskatoon’s most distinguished venues. These groups must meet the qualifying requirements and complete the application process before and after the event. They receive a much-needed boost to help offset some of the event’s costs in exchange.
Would You Like a Boost for Your Event? Here’s How to Get It
The outcome of our BOOST initiative is a win-win situation for TCU Place and the community. Qualified community organizations can hold an event at TCU Place, which they previously thought was impossible. TCU Place has the privilege of welcoming many groups into the building and assisting organizations in putting on a fantastic event.
Community organizations that meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for our BOOST Program:
- Not-for-profits or organizations that have charitable status
- The event will positively impact the community and preferably bring people to the city, boosting our economic impact
- The event is inclusive and open to all to attend (it may be fee-based, but everyone is welcome)
- The event must use TCU Place Food & Beverage and/or audio-visual services, and if tickets are needed, preference would be to use the TCU Place ticketing system
- The event must fit into an open space in the calendar without displacing another event
The options presented here are only a few ideas of what we can achieve. Please let us know if you’re looking for a BOOST in a region that isn’t listed here.
We’d love to help make TCU Place your place to connect with the whole community. We’re waiting for you, so let’s work together! Contact us today to get started.
