Ever wondered what to wear, when to arrive, how to buy tickets, etc. when going to a show or conference at TCU Place? Find answers to frequently asked questions in this handy guide when you plan to stop by.

Where is TCU Place located?

We are located at 35–22nd Street East, snuggled between The Bay, Midtown Plaza, and the YMCA. Use Google Maps and type in your location to find the best way to get here.

Can I text or use social media during a theatre performance?

Our social media channels are active, and we invite you to join the conversation—you can follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, and YouTube. However, your device may be distracting for the performers and others around you. Please limit your mobile usage to before and after the show, as well as during the intermission.

How do I buy tickets for a show?

Whether it’s pricing for shows or subscriptions, you’ll find all the information you need here.

How can I get a ticket refund?

All ticket purchases are final sales. No refunds or exchanges will be available unless a show is cancelled. If a show is cancelled, tickets will be refunded in full using the method of payment used at purchase.

Where is my seat?

Every seat in the Sid Buckwold Theatre is shown on this easy-to-read seating chart.

Is there a dress code?

Most theatregoers love dressing up for performances, while others prefer casual attire. Wear whatever makes you comfortable, relax and enjoy the show!

How can I best respect my fellow audience members?

Showing a little courtesy goes a long way. Do not check your phone during the performance, and make sure that your phone and watch do not ring or vibrate. It can be disruptive to talk, whisper, unwrap candy, and use products that are strongly scented. We ask you to be considerate and respectful of others around you.

Can I bring my own food or drink to the theatre?

You are welcome to bring in beverages and snacks from the lobby bar. Make sure your beverage is in a non-glass container before entering the theatre. Because of food and beverage regulations, we cannot admit food and drinks not purchased at the theatre.

How early should I arrive for my show?

We recommend that you arrive at least thirty to forty-five minutes before your show, which starts promptly at the stated time. That gives you plenty of time to find a parking spot, grab something from the lobby bar, pick up your tickets at the box office, and get situated in your seat.

During COVID times, when proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test are required, please allow extra time for arrival and entrance. Come early! Enjoy a drink or snack before the show and catch the buzz of excitement from those around you.

What if I’m late for the show?

To get the most out of your theatre experience, please do your best to arrive at least thirty minutes before showtime. Our ushers have the option to seat latecomers, but you may need to wait for a suitable moment to enter. There’s a chance that if you arrive late, you might be asked to wait until an intermission. So, we encourage you to come early!
