SSO Presents Disney’s Frozen in Concert Live to Film

Picture it: It’s mid-March, and the kids are starting to drive you bonkers. It’s still a little too cold to be playing outside for very long, and there’s only so much television you can watch. Luckily, the Saskatchewan Symphony Orchestra has a treat for viewers both young and young at heart: Frozen, in concert, live to film! While the movie plays on the large screen, conductor Martin MacDonald will lead the SSO in performing the film’s score live! Featuring songs by Oscar® and Grammy®-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez with a score by composer Christophe Beck, fall in love with the music—and movie—that took the world by storm once again, and let all that stress go!

Ballet Jörgen: Cinderella

Ah, the ballet. What’s not to love? Come experience the beautiful art form, accompanied by an amazing orchestra, and witness a classic fairy tale told through a contemporary twist with Bengt Jörgen’s Cinderella! With Glenn Davidson’s beautiful set design, become transported to a magical world where nature seeks to reclaim man-made structures. With costume designs by Robert Doyle, you’re bound to find something to love in this beautiful retelling of a girl, her fairy godmother, and a glass shoe.
