Public gatherings are allowed in Saskatoon, as long as they adhere to specific government health guidelines. While virtual events have helped us to survive and connect over the past 18 months, many people are transitioning back to in-person events. Read on for some top tips on how to make your in-person event a success – even in these challenging times!

Reimagining Your Event With TCU Place

At TCU Place, we know that planning any event requires careful consideration, especially during these unsure times. The health and safety of your guests is our top priority, which is why we strongly adhere to the guidelines issued by the WHO and the Government of Saskatchewan.

Our team specializes in event planning, and we’re proud to provide you with a safe place to host the gatherings that are important to you. Our goal is to help our hosts understand and navigate the health guidelines while still providing a memorable experience for all guests.

Taking Steps to Keep Your Event Safe

Although the new guidelines allow for in-person gatherings, there are still steps required to keep you and your guests safe. Proof of vaccination is required at events, so remind your guests to either download a copy of their COVID-19 vaccination record from the Sask eHealth website prior to the event or even better – download the app on their smartphone so it is touch-free and easily accessible. While booking the date of your event well in advance will give unvaccinated guests the chance to get their vaccine prior to attending, please know that TCU Place can also accommodate short-term or last-minute bookings easily and skillfully.

Touchless registration through a mobile app or website makes it easy to minimize person-to-person contact. You can even send paperless invitations with links for guests to register their name and contact information on.

Keep in mind that someone will be posted at the main entry to ensure that all guests arriving for your event have either proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test within 72 hours. We can provide someone to do this for you, or we can work with your team to manage this aspect of your event.

Live Events

TCU Place has the capacity to host live events including concerts, trade shows, banquet dinners, Christmas parties, business meetings and more. You can enjoy shows and events from the local community and across Canada. We’ll even host graduations and other important life events using our stage.

We offer our own specialized catering services that source local foods where possible and elevate your event with tantalizing, flavorful options. Our catering services come in all shapes and sizes to fit your budget. We provide catering services that are customized to follow the current health and safety protocols for everyone, with options to best suit your event, from simple box lunches to served buffet style or plated events.

Your event may look different this year, and it can still be fabulous. Our Events Team can help you reimagine your event so that your guests are still treated to an amazing experience, with memorable details and meaningful touchpoints.

The most important thing you can remember is to communicate frequently and clearly with your guests. They will have questions, and you will help them by providing clear, positive answers. And instead of dwelling on what you are not doing with your event this year, we find it works better to focus on what you are building into your event. We will help you make it special.

Events That Are Postponed

In these unsure times, circumstances surrounding an event could lead to changes without prior notice. However, our team continues to take steps to keep you and your guests informed of cancellations and rescheduled events. We will work with you on the communication for your guests to keep them updated if things change.

It is possible to still have fun when attending live events and TCU Place can help. Visit our site today for more information or to book an event.
