SASKATOON, May 20, 2026 – After an extraordinary period of leadership and growth, Tammy Sweeney will be leaving her role as CEO of TCU Place in mid-July 2026 to pursue an exciting new leadership opportunity in Ontario, closer to family.

Under Tammy’s leadership, TCU Place has evolved into far more than a convention and performing arts centre. It has become a catalyst for community connection, cultural vibrancy, economic activity, and city-building in Saskatoon.

Throughout her tenure, Tammy helped position TCU Place as a nationally recognized leader in venue management, community impact, and placemaking. The momentum and reputation built by TCU Place and Saskatoon together have attracted attention well beyond the province, reflecting the strength of both the organization and the community it serves.

“Leading TCU Place has been one of the greatest privileges of my career,” said Tammy Sweeney. “This organization, this team, and this community have inspired me every day. Together, we have built something incredibly special – a place where people gather, celebrate, connect, and create lasting impact.”

Tammy helped build an exceptional team and organizational culture that will continue delivering outstanding experiences for clients, guests, partners, performers, and the community. Operations, events, partnerships, and strategic initiatives will continue uninterrupted as the organization moves through a strategic leadership transition.

“Tammy’s leadership has helped transform TCU Place into one of the most respected venues and community hubs in Canada,” said Gord Gillespie, TCU Place Board Chair. “While we are excited for Tammy, we are equally confident in the strength of the team, culture, and momentum that will continue at TCU Place. Next steps will be shared in due course.”

TCU Place remains committed to its vision, strategic priorities, and continued role as a vibrant centre for cultural, economic, and community activity in Saskatoon.

Over the coming weeks, there will be opportunities to celebrate Tammy’s contributions and leadership within the organization and the broader community.
